Beyond the latest news items, anyway, the trend of the foreign couples weddings in Italy is rewarding the Belpaese in these years, especially the regions of central Italy; more over Tuscany, followed by Lazio and Umbria.
According to the study Destination Wedding in Italy 2019, conducted by Centro Studi Turistici of Florence for Italy for Weddings, the foreign couples who have celebrated their wedding in Italy are more than 9,200, generating about 473 thousand arrivals and just over 1.5 million presences in Italy. For a total estimated income of more than 540 million euros. The central Italy regions are the most requested areas, with the 42,2% of incomes, that means 228 million euros.
According to the report, United Kingdom is the couple main origin country (26,3%), followed by USA (23,5%), Germany (7,9%), Australia (5,8%) and Canada (5,1%).
Destination Wedding Locations: the appeal of the borghi (villages) increases
Among the couples’ favourite locations that are organizing their destination wedding in Italy, the Italian borghi are “emerging” wedding locations, they have always more appeal and long to become the most chosen.
